I purchased a Generation 5 16GB iPod nano listed by DataVision through Buy.com. After reviewing Datavision on ResellerRatings.com I was reluctant to continue the transaction. But the purchase transaction is channeled through Buy.com and their Buy.com Marketplace Guarantee protects the purchase up to $750.00. It was a safe risk. The price was the best that I could find on the web. The purchase process was flawless. I received an order and shipping confirmation with tracking number the next day. I received the item on time.

lots of mac and pc gear, some stuff you dont see in regular stores. like most nyc camera stores you have to leave your bags at the front counter when you enter. sales people werent pushy or annoying, they pointed me toward the netbook cases and left me alone.

Let me start by saying the salesman absolutely DO NOT work on comission. So Pete Im sorry to tell you that you were incorrect on that, 

I have never had an issur as far as getting the wrong product from them either. So to the person who got a 2 gen i touch the reson im sure is because the 3rd gen touch only is for the larger gig moddled which could easilly be confirmed by going to apples websight. Im sure you bought a smaller gig touch which is why your replacement part didnt workm maybe you should do a little research 1 before purchasing and 2 certantly before writing incorrect slander about a store that I happen to know is one of the best in new york. 
Its clean, competitively priced, and offers more options for each type of product in orderto fufill the needs of each consumer and at each price range. 

This is a great store and i highly reccomend it if your ineed of electronis in midtown NY, or online.

on one of the busiest shopping days of the year, I was reviewing Apple Mac Book's and I approached one of the staff members at DataVision for help on the Apple products I was looking for. She was very nice and helpful. I thank her and walked over to another store. Yesterday, I had made my decision to purchase the apple products from DataVision, an associate at work said he had a great experience there and I would receive better service at DataVision than at an apple store. Well I walked in yesterday and it was busier than the previous week, just beyond busy, I had some additional questions and the floor associate was assisting me again, very pleasant and helpful. I was a little unsure if I should go with the higher end component in that my daughters had only specific needs for the Mac Book Pro, mainly school and social. Joey, the store manager had stopped by, literally with hundreds of people in the store, and resolved any additional questions I had, he understood exactly what it was that I was looking for, he did not recommend the more robust configuration for my requirements. Joey further explained that if any issues at all with the computer, under the service plan, all potential questions for the next three years would be resolved. I could not pass up this deal, I literally saved myself Hundreds, possibly thousands of dollars, because of Joey Suede’ recommendations. I was also a little concerned that I had only one day to get the products to my home in time for Christmas Eve, I know this sounds like a movie, but it’s all true, every word. Joey instantly put me at ease and made sure that the products would be packaged, shipped and delivered, all within one day, on the busiest shopping day of the year. I literally walked out of the store with complete confidence and satisfaction that maybe there is a Santa Claus. I didn’t have the worry about carrying all the equipment and possibly endangering it. Joey solved every issue, with politeness and the professionalism that doesn’t exist at any other retailer. My next purchase is from DataVision and all my recommendations will be to go to DataVision. I'm datavision customer for 12 years, Buying from PC. Notebooks ,Audio Video equipemeent. All I can say is that I'm very pleased with customer service, equipements. I get more what any other store can provide on helping shoosing the product that fit my projects. the product are very compettive prices and high ends that its hard to get on known big chaine electronics stores. Even if the store that not carry the particular item, they ordered and call me to come pick up. Other electronics chaine should take Datavision as example on how to handle and create and mange good customer relation. I feel I have all firends over there.

I have been purchasing from this midtown NYC store for many years and they never disappoint. The usually have everything in stock with substitute products that are equally as good as the original OEM products. The manager, Joey takes a personal interest in making sure that I am well taken care of. Best tvs/laptops/apple products in the tri -state area! A lot of people on here are bashing their service as "unfriendly". Those are the suckers. If you want the best deal you need to talk up the managers and employees and earn their respect. Once you get on their good side you realize how friendly they are and how flexible they can be on some of the hottest electronics in the game. Don't just take my work for it go in and try seeing if you make "the cut" and secure the best deal in NYC.
